Collaborative communities: tip sheet
Revisions Made:
1. Added introduction paragraphs to each document.
2. Removed the "Index" section of the tip sheet.
3. Saved the tip sheet as three different documents.
Reflection:
Several suggestions for changes were made in the feedback I received for this assignment. I chose to make some of the recommended changes, but not all. In addition, I also made some updates on my own.
First, I created an introduction to the tip sheet, as well as a brief introduction to each document. This will allow readers to know what they are looking at. I initially only had the document on this page. With the included introduction, it is now a more complete page.
I chose not to change the size of the graphics on the document. I like that each document could be printed, if needed, on one double sided piece of paper. This makes it easier to transition between online and face to face. Users can enlarge the document online if needed.
Instead of having only one document, I chose to split the tip sheet up into three documents. This makes it easier for users. Not everyone is going to need each portion of the tip sheet. Students can find what they need more quickly with this format.
Finally, I chose to remove the last portion of the tip sheet titled "Index". I felt like the tip sheet was too long. I like that each section now is only two pages. I think tip sheets should be quick and easy to use documents. The changes I made makes this document more user-friendly.
